University of Florida Vice President wins GE Internship Challenge

Mike Balmaceda, Vice President of Delta Chi chapter of University of Florida won first place among GE interns during the annual GE “Contemporization Challenge Competition”. The Challenge is a competition among GE interns which requires them to find solutions to GE business problems. Mike and his teammates created a solution resulting in a net benefit of $10 million and an extra $1.3 million every month for the company. Mike’s win this year makes his achievement especially impressive because he is the defending champion from last year’s competition in this, his second year as an intern at GE. His chapter members value his leadership skills and his representation of their high chapter standards in the community. Go Gators!
