St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ®

In 1972, ESA officially recognized St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
®– the largest center for treatment and research of pediatric cancer and other childhood catastrophic diseases in the U.S. – as a national project. As of May 2024, members of Epsilon Sigma Alpha have raised over $350 million to ensure that no child (or their families) has to worry about paying for treatments.

Since 1919, Easterseals has provided essential and life-changing services to children and adults with disabilities, older adults, veterans, and their families. Epsilon Sigma Alpha adopted Easterseals as a national project in 1982. Since then, ESA members have raised over $6 million dollars for Easterseals, supporting those in our communities who need a little extra help.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha’s support for military personnel and their families began during World War II. Since then, the project has evolved to include a vast array of other veterans’ organizations, military support groups, and military hospitals to provide a variety of materials for families, returning soldiers, and wounded warriors. Since every solider, every military family, every veteran is different, members are encouraged to connect with local military support groups in order to best impact our military heroes.

Local Service Projects

One of the amazing aspects of Epsilon Sigma Alpha is the passion and drive that our members have to improve the world around them. Since each chapter and each member are given resources to start their own service projects, ESA members can choose the causes that they are passionate about. From well known service projects like Habitat for Humanity and the Humane Society, to small (but huge impact!) local projects like donating winter coats to a homeless shelter, ESA members are making a difference.
