Making a Difference for Animals in Need
Members of Epsilon Sigma Alpha across the country are making a meaningful impact on the lives of animals by supporting local Humane Societies. Through hands-on volunteering, creative projects, and fundraising efforts, our members embody ESA’s spirit of service by giving their time and talents to help shelters provide care and comfort to animals in need.
How Our Members Support Local Humane Societies
🐾 Volunteering Locally
From walking dogs to socializing cats, cleaning kennels, and assisting with adoption events, ESA members work directly with local shelters to provide hands-on help where it’s needed most.
🎾 Making Dog & Cat Toys & Pet Beds
Our members use their creativity to craft homemade dog toys, catnip-filled pouches, cozy blankets, and pet beds that bring comfort and enrichment to shelter animals.
💰 Fundraising for Shelters
Through bake sales, donation drives, and special events, ESA members raise funds to support local humane societies, helping to provide food, medical care, and resources for rescued animals.
🚶♂️ Walkin’ the Dog Campaign
ESA members have supported both animals and children through the long-running “Walkin’ the Dog” campaign, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This initiative brings together members and their furry friends to raise funds for lifesaving treatment and research. St. Jude also has a unique animal program that helps bring comfort and joy to children receiving treatment, reinforcing the special bond between people and pets.
