Inspiration Library Spotlight: Delta Gamma Bike For St. Jude

How can riding a motorcycle help raise money for St. Jude? It's more likely for TV show Sons of Anarchy to come to mind than charity when you think about bikers. The Delta Gamma Chapter of  Florence, Alabama came together with local motorcyclists to show their community exactly how it's done as a spring Inspiration Library Project. The Inspiration Library is an ESA program focused on creating fundraising events that exicite and engage the local community with the philantropic work that ESA is so passionate about.

The chapter organized a 63 mile motorcycle ride through some of the area of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a scenic, well-known riding location. In order to include the community and spread the word about ESA, they partnered with the Harley Davidson Dealership, local motorcycle club chapters and the Police Department.

The motorcyle community who came out to support St. Jude didn't just have a beautiful ride, they also got to leave knowing they made a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. With the help of community partners and new friends made during this first event the chapter will be planning another ride in the near future. They are so grateful for the community support for the work that ESA does and the kids at St. Jude, and hope that support only contues to grow!
